Sam grew up playing basketball and hockey competitively. An injury during hockey practice at the age of 12 forced him to seek some medical help. Instead of seeing a physiotherapist, his father brought him to a chiropractor and this is when he realized his career path. He coached grade 6 and 7 basketball for three years during high school and coached grade 9 and 10 during his studies at the University of Fraser Valley. During his last three years at the UFV while working towards a degree in Kinesiology, he was the athletic trainer for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the Major Midget League. After obtaining his degree he worked as a Kinesiologist and personal trainer for 7 months before heading off to Palmer West in San Jose to obtain a doctorate in chiropractic. He currently spends his free time lifting weights, playing hockey, golf and basketball, and binge watching TV shows.
Dr. Buttar practices using a diversified technique including instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and exercises to further help patients reach their goals.

Christina graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2012 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford. She grew up in Canada, Central Asia, and Germany before returning to Abbotsford to be closer to family and pursue her studies. It’s also where she met her husband, and together they have four busy, fun-loving kids. Christina has extra training in manual therapy, dry needling, concussion rehab, vestibular therapy, and women’s health pelvic floor.
In her practice, Christina blends manual therapy, dry needling, personalized exercise programs, and modalities to help her clients recover. Her goal is to not only treat the symptoms but also get to the root of the problem, so her clients can get back to doing what they love.
She has a background in basketball and soccer (and yes, plenty of injuries to go with that!). She understands firsthand the challenges of rehab and the emotional toll that long-term pain and injury can have on one’s life. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her hanging out with her family and their dog. She loves being outside—whether it’s camping, walking, biking, or hunting for treasures while thrifting. She’s usually learning something new —right now, she’s learning to ski and getting into gravel biking.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Spencer Stel has considered Aldergrove, BC to be his home since the fall of 2009 when he began his training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster. Spencer completed a 3,000-hour 3-year program in December 2011 and became fully registered in 2012. During his studies, he received a Clinical Case Report Award from the MTABC for his research related to the effects of Swedish Massage on idiopathic scoliosis. In his 15+ years of active practice, Spencer has treated athletic injuries, motor vehicle accident injuries, whiplash, as well as overuse and repetitive use injuries. He has also worked with geriatric and pediatric patients and provided massage therapy to Trinity Western University’s athletes as part of their therapy team. Spencer believes that massage therapy can serve as an important complement to chiropractic work by addressing soft tissue changes in order to enhance the success of chiropractic adjustments. His goal is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to prevent them from recurring in the future. As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Spencer is certified to offer services including: Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Active and Passive Stretching, Muscle Energy Techniques, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Joint Mobilization, Hydrotherapy, Contractile Myofascial Release, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Technique, Ligamentus Articular Strain Technique (L.A.S.T.), and Athletic Taping.
